Before coming to Momentum Commerce, what was your experience in the eCommerce space?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A while back I worked for a small company out of metro Detroit that was selling barbeque and fireplace parts and accessories. When I joined they were trying to grow an eCommerce shop on the side, and I was tasked with focusing on that portion of the business. At the time, this was mostly eBay, but expanding to Amazon and Walmart was going to be an initiative I\u2019d tackle as well. I was largely thrown right into it and started from the ground up. I launched the brand on FBA, I was running warehouse operations, handling fulfillment, managing listings – everything.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After a few years, I moved on to Philips to take on a global supply chain role, but I was quickly itching to get back into an eCommerce career.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What made you want to make the jump to Momentum Commerce?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Philips is a big company, and after that experience I knew what I did and didn\u2019t like about that environment. I decided that if I was going back into eCommerce, I wanted it to be a smaller company, along with one that was going to give me room to grow and be a great long-term fit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I came across a job opening for Momentum Commerce on LinkedIn<\/a>. After taking a deeper look, I thought it was worth at least applying to learn a bit more about the company. What really sold me in the end was talking with Eileen Devor on the Strategy team and Rob Norris on the retail services team. I knew quickly after talking with them that this was the place I wanted to be.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

How would you describe the journey so far?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Both challenging and exciting. I\u2019ve used a lot of my previous experience but at the same time, I\u2019m learning new sides to the business that I wasn\u2019t expecting, which is a fun challenge. A lot of this is a product of Amazon itself – a lot of great programs for brands just didn\u2019t exist or were in their infancy just a year or two ago. In that sense, I\u2019m learning something new every single day. Also, I get to work with awesome people which makes every day pleasant.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What\u2019s your favorite work memory?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I have two that I think are worth mentioning. One of course is the last summer offsite in Newport. I don\u2019t mind remote Zoom calls, but you grow a different bond meeting in person. Was just an incredibly fun and memorable experience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The second is the collective experience of the two 2022 Prime Days and Turkey 5. At my first eCommerce job, we weren\u2019t really focused on these sales events due to the nature of the business. Here, these are the busiest days of the year. And what\u2019s been super rewarding is working with some great clients collaboratively – and seeing the tremendous results. It was a whirlwind, but it was fun in its own way going through the trenches with the team. Plus, we came out on the other side really proud of what we accomplished.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I like to stay active, so I\u2019m going to the gym or taking long walks if it’s nice out. I really also value time with family and friends. I\u2019m blessed to have close groups of people throughout the US, and I\u2019m now making it a point to visit everyone in 2023 and traveling as much as possible. I\u2019m planning to visit the east and west coasts, along with Florida.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What\u2019s a fact about you that might surprise some people?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

My favorite thing is reading about space and seeing some of the latest pictures from the new James Webb telescope. I find that stuff endlessly cool. Also I won best hair in middle school, but only for a single year.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
